A good series from Netflix after a while, if you love chess then you'll love watching this too. Highly recommended binge watch for the weekend.
Beth, an eight-year-old girl who lives in an orphanage after her mother's demise learns to play chess from the janitor who works at the orphanage. Soon, she explores her interest in playing chess and her addiction to tranquillizers too. Her adopted mother later accompanies and support her through the game, yet Beth had to face one hell of a rollercoaster of emotions to stay in the battle. After breakdowns, solitude, comfort and care from loved ones, she slays the battle.
The story was set in the 1950s, every detail was paid attention and care. The outfits makeovers and every frame carried through a vintage trip.
A true masterpiece from Netflix after a while.
